Located in the small beachside community of Playa Avellanas, the Drift Away Lodge offers an excellent chance to earn money near some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and uncrowded beaches. This cozy resort is a peaceful place where your guests can relax and be close to nature. The resort was built to have as little impact on the environment as possible. Most of the materials used in construction were from nearby sources, and they also used recycled materials when they could. The swimming pool is cleaned using a special process with UV and ionization, so they don’t need to use many chemicals.

In a tropical paradise with lots of shady palm trees, the resort currently has 8 rooms and 4 private villas. All the places to stay are decorated in a clean and simple style, with furniture made by local craftsmen, some pieces of driftwood, and calming colors. Every room has comfy memory foam mattresses, soft hypo-allergenic feather pillows, air conditioning, a private bathroom, tables, chairs, and stuff to make tea or coffee. The 2 twin rooms, 2 queen rooms, and 4 king rooms have small fridges. The 4 villas have 2 bedrooms each (1 king bed and 2 single beds) and have stoves, fridges, and TVs. Guests can sit on the villa’s porch and enjoy their coffee in rocking chairs! All the bed linens are made of luxurious 100% organic cotton, and the free toiletries are organic and break down naturally. You can get fast internet all over the place, and you can watch Netflix on the TVs.

There’s a parking area for 10 cars, and the property comes with bicycles for guests to use. Some other buildings on the property are for laundry, storage, a dining room for the employees, and places for the employees to live. There are also 2 buildings for keeping maintenance stuff. The owner or manager can stay in the quarters over the reception area.

In September 2023, a new part of the hotel will be done. There, you’ll find 4 duplexes and 2 houses – one with 2 bedrooms and one with 3 bedrooms. They’re adding a second pool and more parking.
